HICU is a proprietary BAYADA Home Health Care entity. HICU certification of BAYADA'S nurses validates professional expertise and is awarded to those nurses who pass the comprehenive certification exam. HICU certification of a BAYADA nurse represents the highest possible clinical competence in home care. All nurse leadership positions are encouraged to obtain the HICU certification. Expereinced field staff nurses who demonstrate consistent clinical competence are invited to apply for HICU certification.
CRITERIA FOR SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF ACTIVITY
- Passing exam with a score of 80% or greater
- Print certificate
Target Audience
Nurses who meet qualifcations for HICU Certification can sit for the HICU exam.
Qualifications for HICU Certification are:
- RN/LPN with 2 years pediatric experience
- Minimum of 06 months employment with BAYADA Home Health Care
- Active PED-TV coding required
- Active in IN-TV coding required

Margit Moran, RN, BA
Margit graduated with a degree in nursing from Bloomfield College and has over 30 years of experience in pediatric homecare. She joined BAYADA Home Health Care 22 years ago. Margit has a passion for nursing education and is currently the Director of Pediatric Clinical Education at BAYADA. She most recently developed the curriculum for the Pediatric Nurse Residency Program for transitioning new graduates into pediatric home health care, the first home care based nurse residency program to be accredited by ANCC.
