    Michele Berman, PT  (Assistive Care State Programs)

    Michele joined BAYADA in the Home Health Specialty Practice in 2009 as a field clinician. Sharing her clinical expertise and depth of knowledge related to home health, in 2011 she helped create the role of director of clinical operations, providing direction to the Home Health Clinical Practice (VCP), Home Health Operating Policy (VOP), and Medicare Case Management (MCM) offices with a focus on excellence in home health clinical outcomes and regulatory compliance, leading efforts to achieve the BAYADA Triple Aim—care that is more effective, efficient, and empathetic.  Michele has taken an active role in ACSP's key clinical initiatives to enhance quality and value-based opportunities, including the electronic CM clinical assessment. She has led the "Stop and Watch" home health aide-driven changes in clients' conditions to avert hospitalizations and developed the Home Health Aide Training Academy. As the practice clinical lead for the Assistive care State Programs practice at Bayada Michele Berman oversees implementaiton and compliance for all clincial operations specific to this practice.  

    Amy Branscome, RN, BSN, QDDP, and CDDN  (Habilitation)

    Amy has been at BAYADA Home Health Care for 15 years. She started out as a Clinical Manager and started the first office at BAYADA for Habilitation in Charlotte, NC. In 2011, Amy was promoted to Clinical Educator for Habilitation and in 2013 was promoted to her current position as the Director of Clinical Operations for Habilitation. Amy has 10 years’ experience in critical care and 30 years in the nursing field of serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Amy also has psychiatric nursing experience. As the Director of Clinical Operation for Habilitation, Amy provides specialized knowledge and skills in clinical care, consultation, education, and quality evaluation activities for the Habilitation Practice which serves the I/DD population in 3 states. She guides and supports the service offices through CARF accreditation. She leads policy development for the practice and guides and supports the staff to promote quality, effective, and efficient care while adhering to policies and standards.  Amy is a member of the Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association and serves on a human rights committee for people with disabilities as the chairman of the committee.

    Joanna Horst, DNP, MSN, RN (Home Health)

    Joanna is the division director of clinical innovation, leadership, and support (aka "chief clinical officer" for Home Health). Joanna comes with a long track record (more than 30 years) of clinical practice and executive leadership experience. She held many clinical leadership roles in hospitals and health systems across the Greater Philadelphia Area, including Cooper University Hospital (Camden, NJ), Abington Memorial Hospital (Abington, PA), and Reading Health System (now part of Tower Health in West Reading, PA).Joanna's most recent role was chief nursing officer at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA, where she led several key initiatives with outcomes that include 1) application completion and successful submission for "Magnet" accreditation, 2) decreased staff turnover from 15% to 1.5%, and 3) outperforming national benchmarks in patient experience. She brings a wealth of high-level clinical care design and systemic level process improvement, along with a proven track record of executive leadership in both the community and large hospital and health system setting. 
    Joanna is a champion of clinical practice and a life-long learner—as evidenced by her commitment to professional development, starting as a diploma-trained nurse at Abington Memorial Hospital and then proceeding to complete her BSN, MSN, and, most recently, completing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2017.

    Rebecca Mott, RN, MSN, CWS, CHPCA, CHPN ,CMS  (Hospice)

    Rebecca is an accomplished and solidly credentialed senior-level Healthcare Leader with expansive expertise in strategic growth initiatives in a variety of healthcare settings, including Palliative Care, Home Health and Hospice. Certified change agent dedicated to building robust programs through developing a framework that strengthens an agency’s business plan and supports long-term resiliency. Proven track record of success as a respected leader known for 20 + years of experience in hospice operations, clinical operations, compliance and quality management, specialty program development, and working with high-risk organizations to mitigate damages due to Post and Pre-payment Audits.  
    Education and Certification

    Cris Toscano (Skilled Nursing Unit - SNU)

    Cris began her BAYADA journey in 1994 as a staff supervisor for a local office, and in 1999, earned a promotion to director. In 2012, motivated by The BAYADA Way vision to bring home care services to more people, she accepted the position of area director, and one year later, became a division director. Thanks to her business savvy and success as a mentor and leader, BAYADA tapped Cris to serve as chair of the Adult Nursing Practice, a position that evolved into practice leader and regional director. In 2018, she became part of BAYADA’s Skilled Nursing Unit management team as chief operating officer. In her current role as the Skilled Nursing Unit Practice President, she oversees the operational growth and strategic vision for more than 120 offices serving pediatric and adult clients.

    Laurel Trice, RN  (Assisitve Care)

    Laurel has worked in various clinical roles at Bayada since 1991.  She has been involved in both Medicare services as well as home care provided by nurses and HHAs.  She has functioned as a field nurse, Clinical Manager in home health as well as home care, various clinical educational roles, Clinical policy specialist, QA surveyor, Director of Nursing Office and most recently, Divisional Director of Clinical Operations for the assistive care practice.  She works with 6 clinicians to provide clinical oversight to 94 Assistive care offices, including performance improvement support, policy and clincial standard interpretation, clinical resource, mentoring to clinical managers and clinical program development









    BAYADA Home Health Care is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
