The purpose of this course is to promote critical thinking and clinical judgement in novice nurses, to prepare nurses to manage an emergency in the home environment, how to prepare for a precepting experience, and how to provide effective feedback.
Criteria for Successful Completion of Activity to claim CE Certificate
- attend planned length of activity missing no more than 10 minutes
- verification of attendance via sign-in sheet
- completion of evaluation
- post-test with a passing score of 85%

Learning Objectives
By the end of this educational activity the learner will be able to:
- understand adult learning styles
- promote critical thinking and clinical judgement in novice nurses
- prepare a nurse to manage an emergency in the home environment
- identify symptom presentation
- prepare for a precepting experience
- provide effective feedback
- demonstrate knowledge required to be an effective preceptor by passing post-test with score of >85%

Margit has worked in a leadership role related to nursing education at BAYADA for the past 10 years developing and teaching educational programs including the RN and LPN Nurse Residency Programs. She has created and participated in numerous educational programs that qualified for CEs over the past 5 years. She has conducted virtual training classrooms for Nurse Residency Programs for the past 3 years and have developed and conducted virtual classrooms for Introduction to Pediatric Homecare and Nurse Preceptor Training
