LIVE CLASSROOM
Physical Therapists (PTs), Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs), Registered Nurses (RNs) and Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) who work in the home health care setting are invited to learn about "Managing Challenging Behaviors for Effective Supervision" and "Post- Intensive Care Syndrome".

Criteria for Successful Completion of Activity to Claim CE Certificate
- Attend planned length of activity missing no more than 10 minutes
- Validation by CE Administrator of attendance via sign-in sheet
- You will receive an email, after 1-2 business days, prompting you to complete an evaluation on education.bayada.com
- Evaluation must be completed within 1 month of event before course expires.

Educational Level:
Intermediate—Information is geared to practitioners with a general working knowledge of current practice trends and literature related to the subject matter. Focus is on increasing understanding and competent application of the subject matter.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this educational activity the learner will be able to:
Managing Challenging Behaviors for Effective Supervision:
- Recognize signs of potential behaviors early on in the supervision process.
- Identify their own communication style.
- Identify barriers to effective communication and develop strategies for effective communication with clincians.
- Evaluate previous management of challenging behaviors.
Post - Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS):
- Interpret and integrate data obtained from laboratory and other clinical tests.
- Interpret the impact of medical/ surgical acuity and/or complexity, procedures and how the presence of comorbidities of these systems affects patient care management, function, and participation.
- Adapt interventions in response to changes in an individual's clinical status as well as for specific patient problems to meet patient's needs, including the needs of patients who are oxygen- dependent or ventilator- dependent in intensive care units.

Brianna Brimm, MOTR/L CPAM CLIPP
Brianna Brim is a Licensed Occupational Therapist, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Assistant Professor at Salus University. She currently maintains active practice in Hand Therapy, Acute Care/Acute Rehabilitation and Successful Aging. Brianna Supervises students academically and clinically in traditional OT practice and emerging OT practice areas. Brianna earned her BS in Exercises Science form Skidmore College, her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Temple University and is currently pursuing her PhD in Biomedicine at Salus University.
Mary C. Sinnott, PT, DPT, M.Ed
Mary C. Sinnott, PT, DPT, M.Ed is a Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy of the College of Public Health at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. For ten years, Dr. Sinnott served as the Director of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. She is now the Director for IPE and Pro Bono Services. She is a graduate of Temple University (BS in Physical Therapy and M.Ed in Exercise Physiology) and MGH Institute of Health Professions. Dr. Sinnott maintains her clinical practice at Temple University Hospital on the acute care consult service. In addition, she has lectured across the country on topics that range from the impact of pathophysiology on function to leading organizational change.

Cancellation/Refund
If course is cancelled:
By BAYADA; if the education is cancelled for any reason the learner will receive a full refund for any applicable course fee. BAYADA will not be responsible for any associated fees or costs such as travel or lodging.
By learner; any applicable course fee will be refundable up until one (1) day prior to date registered for the education. After this date the course fee may be non-refundable. BAYADA will not be responsible for any associated fees or costs such as travel or lodging.
Should adverse weather conditions arise that would make it unsafe to conduct this event, all registered attendees will be made aware of cancellation or postponement of the event by 10pm on December 16, 2018.
